The light tower on Oman’s eastern tip, Ras al Hadd, provides an essential Aid to Navigation for large vessels using the offshore Traffic Separation Scheme and other vessel sailing from the Gulf of Oman into the Arabian Sea. AMNAS has recently conducted extensive refurbishment to the tower and has upgraded the rotating beacon. There are plans to build a replacement lighthouse in this vital location in due course.
