To keep mariners safe by providing a coherent, evolving, reliable and fully IMO compliant enhanced network of efficient aids to navigation covering The Sultanate of Oman’s Territorial Waters and their approaches.

This is achieved by responding to the present and future needs of the mariner and through application of rigorous planned maintenance schedules to all AMNAS-owned Aids to Navigation, and those maintained under contract.

All services provided by AMNAS comply with guidelines and regulations laid down by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), International Association of Lighthouse Authorities (IALA), and International Hydrographic Office (IHO).

AMNAS is committed to regional maritime safety and environmental protection and makes full use of charts and nautical publications issued by the National Hydrographic Office of the Sultanate of Oman.
